The bidding for the 2006 Derbyshire Bird Report cover original artwork has now reached £50. Bidding closes on 30 April.

The next Field Trip will be on Sunday 18 May 2008 which will be to North Norfolk and the Brecks probably calling at Lakenheath, and Weeting before heading for the Norfolk coast. Click here for more details

BTO Bird Atlas 2007-11, "Mapping Britian and Ireland's Birds". Work starts on this £1 million project in November 2007. Volunteers are needed for survey field work. click here for more information or contact Dave Budworth

The status of Aston-on-Trent GP: This is a private working gravel pit with permit only access during working hours. The closer pits can be viewed from the A50 slip road with a telescope but no access should be attempted AT ANY TIME (or you will have to explain yourself to the local constabulary)

Gift Aid and payment by Standing Order

If you are a member of the DOS and a Tax Payer, please consider Gift Aid - we can reclaim the tax on subscriptions. If all eligible members filled in a Gift Aid form, we could significantly increase our income at no cost to you.
Also, if you are a member of the DOS, we can cut costs if you pay by Standing Order
