Status of Willington GP and Aston-on-Trent GP

Willington GP Canal Pit: is still classed as a PRIVATE working gravel pit. Do not use the gravel company road and do not approach the water's edge. View only from the canal tow path. Information from the site will cease if birders cannot act responsibly.

Aston-on-Trent GP: This is a private working gravel pit with permit only access during working hours. The closer pits can be viewed from the A50 slip road with a telescope but no access should be attempted AT ANY TIME (or you will have to explain yourself to the local constabulary)

Reminders

Drakelow NR: please do not walk in front of the main hide as this disturbs birds using the feeding station

Foremark Reservoir: please note that there is NO ACCESS at any time to the area along the dam wall or to the area on the West Side of the Reservoir.
